What is half scrum?

"Half scrum" is a term sometimes used to refer to a scenario where only one team is participating in a scrum formation during a rugby match. In this case, the opposing team has fewer than eight players in the scrum or has chosen not to participate in the scrum entirely. This can happen due to various reasons such as injury, fewer players on the field, or a strategy decision by the team. In such situations, the half scrum is formed with only 3-4 players in the front row instead of the typical 8 players. The half scrum formation is generally less stable and has less pushing power than the full scrum formation.
